A busy Spring ahead

THIS YEAR we launched “Born singing” and the “Sacred Choir” weekly gatherings across Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand, practising Voice in Yoga and singing spirituals from around the world. Many excited participants are coming together to form “Sacred Choir” and our first performance in November at the “Earth Concert” at Petersham Town Hall, November 11.

We are currently in the studio working on my sixth CD, titled “Rasa Mandala”. We’re all very excited about our launch party in Sydney Jan 2012. More on that soon!

Spring Events

I’m eagerly anticipating a range of wonderful events coming this Spring across Australia. A big one is the “Awakening the inner Voice” workshop. This is a weekend event where we explore self transformation through the power of sacred sound. Oct 28-30 at Mangrove Mountain Yoga Ashram.

Sacred Choir Launch

On Nov 11 I’ll be participating in Earth Concert at Petersham Town Hall. We’re really excited to be launching the Sacred Choir.

Divine Feminine

I have the pleasure of speaking at “Divine Feminine” – a gathering of some of Australia’s greatest teachers on spirituality and sexuality featuring Petrea King, Eve Grzybowski, and Swami Satyadharma 26-27 Nov at Novatel-Sydney Olympic Park. On the same weekend at Mangrove Mountain we will be chanting all weekend at their annual Akhaand Kirtan.

CARMELLA is a gifted singer and inspirational award winning composer. She has studied, performed, taught and shared sacred music throughout Australasia from an early age, dedicating herself to facilitating sound as a healing force, a vehicle for transformation and vibrational healing, for creating harmony with the whole of nature and ultimately for union with the Divine. Her unique personal style weaves the sacred Indian traditions of sound yoga with other cultural explorations of sacred music and song which awakens the heart, uplifts the spirit and opens the channels of inspiration.

From renaissance, church music and choral singing, to traditional Indian, African and contempory devotional music, her voice traverses all musical genres. She sings in cathedrals and temples and has performed with indiginous musicians of Australia, Papua New Guinea and North America.

Carmella’s contribution to sacred music includes the award winning international release of “Song to the Earth”, her much loved “lullabies” and pre-natal sound meditation CD “Babybreath”. Her latest release “Ashraya” is the exquisite crescendo of her musical journey to date. Carmella is a devoted yoga practitioner for over twenty years and accredited voice and yoga teacher.
